I've been wanting to write something lengthier, which was why I stopped using Dayre as much & turned to blogger instead. Although my birthday was already over long ago, I'd been so busy with work that I only have some time to write this today. Here goes (sorry for the lengthy post):
So, I turned another year older (many days ago) with warm wishes from my precious family and friends. My ex-colleagues (WL, SL & Noon) celebrated my birthday a day in advance for me at NOM - Bistro & Bakery. I was the one who picked the café because I was craving for sweet treats - rainbow cakes, & NOM was pretty popular for that.
Obviously overjoyed that I had not just one, but TWO rainbows. This bunch of friends have never failed to celebrate my birthday for me ever since we became friends. I'm super thankful to have them around. :')
Close-up of the pretty rainbows we had, but they were a tad too sweet for our likings tbh.
Then, on the actual day, I was genuinely surprised with this beautiful bouquet of colourful roses. And it wasn't just this bouquet, I received many pleasant surprises later on in the day. The best part was that those surprises were totally unexpected cause I didn't expect anything, but received so so much in return. :) Was really happy that day.
Also, I got to eat all my fave food on my birthday as well! Suki-ya for lunch, frog leg porridge for dinner & NAAN FOR SUPPER! I was overjoyed to be eating food that I craved the most on that day.
Oh yes, we went to Tulipmania 2015 that afternoon too. Was a little upset that it actually rained when we just reached MBS actually. But luckily, the rain stopped eventually! It was really my lucky day.
Extremely happy to have spent my birthday with my dearest boyfriend. It was one of the best days of my life & I wish to remember it always.
What's more, I had close friends texting me privately & wishing me happy birthday. I've always been really bad at keeping friends, but I'm glad that the girls - SNGS, JC, ex-colleagues have continued to be the constants in my life.
Of course, how can I forget to mention my favouritest people of all - my cousins. It's really weird that I don't talk to my Singaporean cousins at all, & that I only speak with this lovely bunch of people. I guess that we only got closer in recent years cause of the overseas trips we went together - Australia (2011), Indonesia (2012), Hong Kong (2013) & our recent Korea trip (2015). Traveling with them means waking up in excitement & looking forward to a day filled with loads of laughter (& also it means our parents pay for everything). To be honest, it didn't really matter which country we travelled to, whether it was the "atas" Australia or the "cheap" Indonesia, it was the company that really mattered to me. I do hope that we will continue to travel together in the next few years or so. To growing old together, my lovelies, xoxo.
I'm incredibly blessed.
