Coney Island, GoCycling at Punggol
Finally visited Coney Island on Saturday, and the weather was rly good too - sunless and (rather) windy!
We took Bus 84 from Punggol bus interchange to Punggol Promenade, and from a distance, we spotted a bicycle rental shop, GoCycling @ Punggol Jetty (Punggol Point Park).
We foolishly followed the crowd to GoCycling (not knowing that there is another bicycle rental shop further down on the other end which offers lower rental rates). We specifically requested for a tandem bike because idk how to cycle and were told that it's $8/h, but if you rent the bike for 2h ($16), you get the 3rd hour free of charge. Since we were only going to Coney Island, we decided that 1h would be sufficient and decided to rent the tandem bike for an hour. The uncle told us that we have to pay $4 for an extra 30 minutes. So after paying for the rental fee, we cycled off to Coney Island!
We cycled past Jomando Adventures & Recreations, the other bike rental shop, and after googling abit, we found out that Jomando offers $16 for 3 hours!!! Learnt our lesson and decided that we should NOT follow the crowd the next time we come here.
The main path at Coney Island was not easy to cycle, esp since we were using a tandem bike (sry des!). It was really bumpy cos of the rocky path, plus, the seat of the person in front kept moving whenever I touch the handlebars. Not a very good bike... We stopped at some places to take photos hehe, will update the next time!

After cycling for a while, we decided that we were not gonna make it within 1h to return the bike and agreed to pay the $4 for the extra 30 min. However, when we wanted to return the bike, the GoCycling uncle told us that we had to pay $8 cos we were late. Puzzled, my boyfriend told him that previously he told us it was $4 and asked politely why it is now $8. The uncle replied rudely and asked us whether we know our math (:O). I was kinda taken aback, I mean, hello???? We just wanted to clarify with him right?? In the end, we realised that he actually meant $4 PER HEAD for the extra 30 min omggg. Actually, tbh, it was rly a miscommunication. The uncle did NOT tell us beforehand that it's $4 PER HEAD, and just told us it was $4 for the 30 min, so we assumed he meant just top up $4 if you're late for 30 min. My bf told him politely that it was a mistake on his part as he should have been clearer about the rental fees (DUHHH RIGHT?? We first-timers ok! Don't assume we have already memorised your rental fees!), and offered to pay the $8. To my surprise, the uncle got angry at us and told us, "Go away, I don't need your money." Inside my head, I was like WTF cos it seemed to me like the uncle was pms-ing or smth. We know the uncle is able to afford the $8 "loss", but it's not like we can't afford to pay and it's definitely NOT like we don't wanna pay.. We offered to pay the $8 but he didn't want it and kept asking us to go away. I was just shocked at how rude he was. I mean, if he told us nicely that the $4 for 30 min is actually referring to $4 per head for 30 min, we would have understood and paid up! I don't think there was a need for him to be so rude and nasty about it, after all, all we did was to ask him a single question LOL.
What a nasty end to a wonderful day.. zzz..

Hong Kong 2016 Day 2
Woke up super early the next day! Left the hotel at 8am and made our way to Australia Dairy Company for scrumptious breakfast!

No queue when we reached~ |

Shared 2 breakfast sets among the 4 of us |
Finally tried this, and it's seriously super good! The scrambled eggs and milk pudding were <3!!! I wonder how one person can manage to finish a single breakfast set by himself.. It's really too much for one! I was sooo full!!!

Longgg queue when we finished our breakfast! |
After witnessing this queue forming at the entrance, we were thrilled cos we entered ADC without queuing and without needing to wait for a table! Waiters were really patient and friendly with us too, we are sooo blessed!
Next up, off to Lantau Island!

Got myself a straw hat there for only HKD60~ Best buy in HK! |

Love how blue Tai O is~ |

One of my fave photos of Tai O |
Tai O is really, really scenic. I really love the blues and stilt houses there although I feel that the villagers' lives are kinda disrupted by the influx of tourists.. hmm..
Headed to Lin Heung Teahouse for dim sum dinner, but upon reaching the place, to our disappointment, we realised that the dim sum timing was already over.. We were starving as we reached at almost 9pm so we decided to eat zi char there.. which turned out to be even more disappointing.. the worst dinner ever imo..

Really, really normal zi char.. :< |

Ding ding tram |
Took the ding ding tram to Causeway Bay for even more shopping.. but we got there too late, and most of the malls were already closing.. :<
Despite having reached Causeway Bay so late, I still managed to snag a Tommy Hilfiger polo tee that was going at HALF PRICE for my dad (second best buy in HK hehe), and we managed to try the baked cheese tart in HK WITHOUT QUEUING! Headed back to our hotel after that, and that's all for Day 2 :)
Hong Kong 2016 Day 1
HK 2016 marked the first overseas trip with my dearest friends! Morning flight at 10.10am, so we agreed to meet at the airport at 8.15am to have breakfast before departing. I was the first to reach cos my dad could send me to the airport hehe.

Happy four friends! |
All four of us slept pretty late the night before, but I was the one who slept the most on the plane while the rest were unable to sleep much. We reached HKIA at about 2+ pm, got the octopus card at the airport, and took bus A21 to our hotel! Free wifi is available on the bus!

Compartment for luggages |
The bus ride was approximately 40 minutes, and we reached Inn Hotel at about 4.45pm? Upon reaching the hotel, we realised that Inn Hotel actually provides FREE SIM card!!! Luckily we got the SIM cards cos we were constantly lost in HK.
Our small but cozy hotel room |
We left the hotel and headed straight to our dinner place - Hing Kee Restaurant cos we were FAMISHED!

Claypot rice |
Not a fan of claypot rice in general, so I thought the first meal we had in HK was okay only heh.
Went Argyle Centre and walked around the nearby street markets and I ended up with only 2 tops. Clothes at Argyle Centre are pretty cheap, but quality is only as good as those from Bugis Street haha, so I didn't get a lot of clothes there. Didn't get anything from Ladies Market and Temple Street Market cos I feel like I will get scammed by all the super persuasive HK salespeople.
And sooo, Day 1 was concluded with this photo of us - happy four friends with our shopping loots hehe! ^^
